Fallout Terminal Build Kit

$129.99

This is a serious build kit made for collectors, modders, and makers who want to build their own functional vault terminal desktop computer.

The kit includes dozens of unfinished 3D-printed components including the main shell sections, front faceplate, backplate, body joiners, smaller exterior details and accessories, and the keyboard plate you selected when placing your order. The shell aligns using fitted body joiners, and each section should be glued together for long-term strength and stability. All components will be assembled and finished to your specifications, needs and desires.

This kit is intentionally open-ended. You must gather your own hardware - the monitor, keyboard, computer hardware, wiring, controls, and internal components that best fit the terminal you want to build.

Build It Your Way

Choose your keyboard plate option for the keyboard you want to build into your terminal - a standard 60% keyboard layout that covers the entire lower half, or the NIU Mini ortholinear layout, which includes space for three additional slots for key switches on the right side to more closely recreate the in-game terminal design. If you have a specific keyboard in mind, reach out to me and I can make you a custom keyboard plate that will work specifically with your setup.

The enclosure is designed to accommodate a 9 to 10-inch LCD monitor and can be configured around a Raspberry Pi, mini PC, or an HDMI connection routed to another computer. Should you somehow find a CRT that fits perfectly, even better!

The front faceplate includes two knobs beside the screen which can be fitted with rotary encoders and programmed to compliment your setup. The NIU Mini keyboard plate also features three empty slots for additional key switches on the right side to be customized in the same way. I recommend using a common microcontroller such as the Pro Micro to add functions like volume and media controls, application launchers, keyboard shortcuts or whatever you can think of.

Skill Level

This is an advanced build kit. It is not plug-and-play, and it is not intended as a beginner prop kit. Builders should be comfortable test-fitting parts, gluing large assemblies, planning internal hardware, installing components, making necessary adjustments, and completing finishing work.

Sand the shell, fill the seams, prime and paint it, then add as much dirt, rust, wear, and abuse as you want. With some technical know-how, you can install Linux and build a custom terminal interface, turning the login screen into a functional recreation of the hacking minigame. That’s my plan!

This is your terminal - Designed by Lins Dinner from LINSLABS.
